Spotify for Authors
What it is
Spotify’s direct portal for authors to upload audiobooks to Spotify, manage metadata/pricing where offered, and access listener insights (including Wrapped-style author analytics). Complements ACX (Audible/Amazon/Apple) and Voices by INaudio (wide retail/library). Spotify for Authors reaches Spotify listeners; it is not by itself a full wide-distribution aggregator. Confirm territory availability and royalty rules in the official dashboard before relying on it as your only audio channel.
Pricing model
Free to publish — Direct self-serve audiobook publishing to Spotify; no separate listing fee advertised for self-published upload — royalties/terms are Spotify’s current audiobook programme (confirm in dashboard). Wide distribution beyond Spotify still needs a separate aggregator such as Voices by INaudio or ACX for Audible/Apple.. Always confirm on the vendor site before buying; plans change.
